Students will be introduced to the history and production of Canola through the lesson plan and will then watch a video all about Canola farming.

Students will be introduced to different potato varieties through a tasting activity and will then watch a video all about how potatoes are farmed in British Columbia.

Students will be introduced to strawberries through a mindful eating activity. They will then learn about how strawberries are produced in British Columbia through a video tour of a BC strawberry farm.

Students can show their gratitude for BC’s food and workers. They are encouraged to colour, write thank you messages to food workers, and/or draw their favourite locally grown food on the Food Gratitude sheet.
