Make a Difference by Supporting Agriculture in Schools!
Sponsorship plays a vital role in agriculture education. BCAITC has become the voice for agriculture among teachers and their students in BC. We rely on financial support from agricultural associations and businesses, community groups, corporations, and individuals to grow and sustain our initiatives. There are a variety of opportunities for members of the community to get involved and work with us.
Learning about agriculture is more than learning about food. It is about people and learning how they work with the environment to provide our everyday needs. Agriculture is a tool for learning that can lead to a lifetime of informed choices about food, health, the economy, and the environment. Teachers and students are decision-makers. Having them ask questions about the products they are consuming will open their minds to their communities. If they are aware that their purchases and actions can make a difference to local and global economies, the environment, and quality of life, then they will make better decisions concerning agriculture.
