In this unit students will understand the importance of eating locally, learn about the growing regions of BC and what is grown within these areas and recognize how important the land is for agricultural purpose. Students will understand more about hot house farming, recognize the consequences of consuming foods that are produced far away and appreciate the opportunity to prepare locally grown food while learning about its attributes. 2013
