Now Hiring - Summer Student: Garden Education & Program Support

We are looking for a motivated, hands-on Summer Student to join our team as Garden Education & Program Support. Reporting to the Garden Program Coordinator, this role is a key support position in the delivery of engaging, outdoor learning experiences at the Pencil Patch Garden for Learning.

This position supports the day-to-day coordination and facilitation of garden-based programming, including school visits, community engagement activities, garden maintenance, and summer camp support. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, organized, and comfortable working in a dynamic outdoor environment where no two days look the same.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about environmental education, food literacy, agriculture, and experiential, hands-on learning with children and youth. The successful candidate will bring a positive attitude, strong teamwork skills, and a willingness to learn while contributing to a fun, mission-driven, and community-focused team.

BCAITC is a non-profit, charitable organization that works with educators to bring BC agriculture and food education to K-12 students throughout the province. Together with farmers, teachers and agricultural specialists, we educate BC students about where their food comes from, how to grow their own food, and why farms and agriculture play such an important role in our communities and society.
