Nomination Deadline for the 2022 Outstanding Teacher in Agriculture Award
BCAITC is calling for nominations for its annual Outstanding Teacher in Agriculture Award. Nominations for the 2022 award are being accepted now to December 1, 2022 for teachers that have gone above and beyond to provide agriculture education to K-12 students.
K-12 BC Culinary Arts, Food Studies, Outdoor Studies, Environmental Science, and Life Science educators and any other teacher whose classroom lessons touch upon agriculture and food in any aspect can be nominated for BCAITC’s award. Nominees may contribute unique or excellent teaching tools, techniques, or curriculum content and/or present ongoing professional development and opportunities to expand students’ and colleagues’ relationships to agriculture learning. Historically, previously awarded recipients include teachers who introduced new agriculture technology program, hosted agriculture career days, wrote agriculture into the school curriculum, or started their whole school on a school garden project.
The 2022 Outstanding Teacher in Agriculture will receive a $1,000 cash prize sponsored by DairyCrop Solutions.
