Inspire and Educate With Us
Unite! Inspire! Educate! BC Agriculture in the Classroom Foundation (BCAITC) invites you to join in cultivating generosity this Giving Tuesday. As a non-profit organization dedicated to expanding agriculture and food education in British Columbia, we will be delighted to receive your support on this day of giving.
Our Impact:
Currently reaching over 550,000 K-12 BC students annually, BCAITC offers culinary arts, fresh delivery, and professional development programs. Additionally, classrooms have access to our free online library comprising 570+ K-12 agriculture and food resources. These resources cover a range of topics, from BC's rich agriculture and food story to crucial discussions on food security, environmental sustainability, career opportunities, and healthy living.
Why Your Support Matters:
As we strive to increase our outreach, introduce new resources, and keep our content up-to-date, we need your support to instill the values of agriculture in our youth. You can play a crucial role in ensuring that we continue providing quality education by contributing to programs such as Take a Bite of BC, Spuds in Tubs, and Planting a Promise.
Rebuilding and Expanding:
After the flood in November 2022, we successfully re-established our Pencil Patch Teaching Garden under the Ag Adventure program. The Pencil Patch offers various hands-on activities for students, and in 2024, we plan to introduce new features based on suggestions from visiting classrooms. Your assistance will help us build resources, cover operational costs, and purchase tools, seeds, and a lawnmower to enhance the learning experience at the Pencil Patch for the year of 2024.
Get Involved:
You can also contribute by registering as a volunteer for BCAITC. With year-round volunteer opportunities, you can actively participate in educating and spreading the word about BC's remarkable agriculture and food story. Apply today to make a hands-on impact. If you want to contribute to agriculture and food education and support our mission and vision, consider partnering with us to sponsor a classroom, program, or event. There are multiple ways to contribute, and every partnership helps sustain the valuable education BCAITC provides in schools.
This Giving Tuesday, let's come together to support a cause that impacts the future of agriculture education in British Columbia. Your generosity can help BCAITC continue inspiring, educating, and uniting students through the exploration of BC's incredible agriculture and food story. Join us in cultivating a brighter future for the youth of our province!
